Necklaces can make any outfit stand out and help you show off your personal style. But how can you go beyond wearing just one necklace and create a layered look that works well together? Layering adds an elegance to any outfit and lucky for you, it happens to be my specialty!

Let’s Start With the Basics

Length is Your Friend

Play with a few different necklace lengths to avoid a cluttered look. Start with a longer chain and layer shorter ones atop, creating a cascading effect. A visual waterfall!

Mix and Match Textures and Materials

For an interesting and cool combination, mix smooth chains with chunky pendants, pearls with leather cords, and opposite metals like silver and gold. Personally, I love to layer our Mediterranean necklaces. In my collection, I have three of the same necklaces with different colored elements from all over the world. These designs are always wearable no matter what color the outfit I’m wearing that day is.

Consider Color and Symbolism

Don’t shy away from color! Combine turquoise, a powerful stone that represents enlightenment, healing, and success, with petals from your birth month flower. Make it more personal to you.

Start Small and Build On It

Avoid drowning yourself in layers. Start with 2-3 necklaces and slowly add more as you get the hang out. People say less is more, but for me…more is more. Go big or go home. I’ll wear up to 6 necklaces at a time. But that style isn’t made for everyone, so I would suggest layering with 3-4 pieces. That’s the sweet spot.

Unleash Your Inner Stylist

The Minimalist

Layer a dainty necklace with a small pendant and light chain like our Delicate Dune Sunburst Necklace with another piece that’s hangs slightly below it. Our Cosmos Necklace by Camille Kostek is the perfect layer for this elegant look.

The Daring Adventurer

My every day layering look starts by adding the Christine Kesteloo’s The World is Yours Necklace, then the Mediterranean necklace, the Travel Tag, and finally the Camille Kostek Luna Beam Necklace. This combo makes any and every outfit a little more eye-catching.

The Bohemian Spirit

For the free-spirit boho look, layer our long-chain Dune Bar created with sand from your favorite beach with our Marina Necklace, a design that holds multi-colored flowers, for a carefree and vibrant vibe.

The Miami Vibe

Combine a Herringbone Chain from our sister brand, Mi Tesoro, along with a Curb Chain and Sun Ray Heart Necklace filled with your favorite Florida shore sand.

There’s No Wrong Way To Layer

Remember, layering necklaces is an art form, not a science.

Use clasps and jump rings to adjust necklace lengths and create something new.

One iconic – and I mean iconic – layering example IRL is Danielle Zaslavsky’s Hermes layer as seen on her TikTok! She combined two Hermes bracelets together to make a choker…

As easy as that and anyone can do it. Grab your favorite designs and let your creativity flow – your inner stylist deserves to have some fun!
