Fall is in the air and my fridge is stocked with pumpkin spiced everything<\/em><\/strong> including almond milk, coffee, scones, Oreos and ice cream.\u00a0 You name it, I have it. Top it off with a \u201cSpiced Pumpkin\u201d Yankee candle and my house couldn\u2019t be any more prepared for chilly days and falling leaves. As much as I love this time of year, it\u2019s also inevitable that I start dreaming of sandy beaches and far-away places.\u00a0 New adventures, exotic food, sand and sun are calling me.\u00a0 Alexa and Lyla are campaigning for Disney World this year, but frankly I thought I had at least two more years before we\u2019d be having breakfast with the princesses.\u00a0 I\u2019ve done a little deskside day-tripping and here are my top three \u201cwish list\u201d destinations for 2017\/2018 travels.<\/p>\n

My Top 3 Wish List Destinations:<\/h2>\n

\"belizeBelize<\/strong><\/h2>\n

We create so many custom pieces of Dune Jewelry with sand from Ambergris Caye, so it prompted me to do some research about Belize.\u00a0 Formerly British Honduras, Belize is an independent country on the eastern coast of Central America.\u00a0 The official language is English which is nice if you\u2019re not bilingual, and the beaches are out-of-this- world beautiful!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

There are so many different kinds of places to stay, ranging from inexpensive beach-side resorts ($85 per night) to stunning overwater bungalows ($1,000+ per night).\u00a0 This is a destination that I cannot wait to visit, so I\u2019ve made a Coral necklace which is featured in this week\u2019s email, to wear until I can get my feet in the Belizean sand.<\/p>\n

\"NanHong Kong <\/strong><\/h2>\n

I literally had never once<\/em><\/strong> thought of traveling to Hong Kong until recently when (simultaneously) I read an article about the legendary food scene, a new friend traveled there and raved about the nightlife, then our Sales Manager told me it\u2019s one of her most favorite cities in the world. Sold!\u00a0 November is a great month to travel to Hong Kong because the weather is mild so you can enjoy colorful outdoor activities or take in the iconic skyline while relaxing at a rooftop restaurant.<\/p>\n

Also, what really surprised me is the choice of beautiful beaches and hiking trails on surrounding islands like Lantau.\u00a0 Recently we\u2019ve been receiving more and more elements from destinations other than beaches to incorporate in to our jewelry.\u00a0 Things like dirt, crushed rock or special flowers can also be added to any of our designs so I\u2019d be curious to see what unique items I could collect in Hong Kong.<\/p>\n

\"fall<\/a><\/p>\n

\u00a0Aruba<\/strong><\/h2>\n

\u201cOne Happy Island\u201d. Aruba, with its white sand beaches, perfect weather, cooling trade winds and friendly people is exactly what I want from a Caribbean vacation.\u00a0 The biggest stress each day is what time to head to the beach and whether to enjoy cheap eats or fine dining for dinner.\u00a0 This would be pure bliss after an insanely busy holiday season and I think my girls would enjoy time in the ocean as well as the pool.\u00a0 It can\u2019t rival the princesses, but I bet it would be a close second for them.\u00a0 We\u2019ll have to see!<\/p>\n

So those are my wish list destinations. I\u2019d love to hear about where you\u2019re traveling within the next year and of course, don\u2019t forget to collect sand or elements for a custom piece of Dune!<\/a><\/p>\n
