You all know by now that I love sharing stories about my family.\u00a0 My girls are the center of my world. I love that I can capture memories from all of our travels and adventures.\u00a0 For every family trip we take, we gather sand and I create something new for both girls. Then I put it away for when they\u2019re old enough to appreciate each design.\u00a0 I look forward to when the girls are a bit older so we can travel further.\u00a0 My Lyla is pretty feisty. On our last flight from Punta Cana, she sang \u201cMommy-Mommy-Bo-Bommy, Banana Fana Fo Fommy\u201d for about 45 minutes. She sang through all the different names in our family including Mommy, Daddy, Alexa, Lyla, Grammy, Grampy, Tex (our Dog). The other passengers thought it was cute for about 3 minutes and the remaining 42 minutes were torture.\u00a0 SO, we\u2019ve decided to implement a 3.5 hour max flight time on our family vacations until Lyla can control herself a little better.\u00a0 We\u2019re heading to Disney in March, so I\u2019ll update you guys on how that flight goes.<\/p>\n

I also think it\u2019s important for me to share stories from our customers, not only with my team here in the Dune studio but also with all of you!\u00a0 We have the coolest, most sentimental, well-traveled, FUN customers in the WORLD.\u00a0 There are times I marvel at the stories people tell, and how Dune perfectly captures those stories and memories for our community.<\/p>\n

Maribeth’s Sand Story<\/h2>\nMy family started vacationing in Falmouth Heights in 1986. My mom and dad rented the big house on the hill on Grand.\u00a0 Aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents crammed into the house for 2 weeks of heaven.\u00a0 In July 1989, I stood wrapped in my father\u2019s arms watching the fireworks in Vineyard Sound. That October he died of a massive heart attack. The memories created there are forever etched in our hearts and souls and have largely shaped who we are.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n This summer, my siblings and their families, my mom and my two twenty-something sons (who have been there every year of their life) again, created memories to last a lifetime.\u00a0 This past March, my brother had emergency heart surgery, so this summer was especially celebratory and meaningful to us.\u00a0 I thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to commemorate our memories with a piece of Falmouth Heights beach.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n We have also spent quite a bit of time in Marco Island.\u00a0 Last year, my mom and I were enjoying tea at a small coffee shop on an inlet when a dolphin casually swam by.\u00a0 My mom turned to me and said, \u201cYour dad\u2019s here.\u00a0 When the dolphins are near, I know he is too.\u201d\u00a0 That is why her bracelet has the dolphin charm, in addition to the Cape charm.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n -Maribeth C.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n Holly Daniels Christensen![\"warm](\"https:\/\/dunejewelry.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Hollysentiment-2-300x212.jpg\")
