Rose Island with the family<\/h2>\n

O<\/span>f the many places I have visited there is one that I was so excited to have my own custom jewelry made for. My family visits a place called Rose Island, a little self sustaining island in Newport Bay, Rhode Island that although historically significant, is also a place we go for rest, relaxation and time to reconnect with nature and each other.<\/span><\/p>\n

I tell everyone I meet that you go for an overnight there and you feel like you\u2019ve been gone a week! It seems only fitting to have a gorgeous\u00a0bayview ring<\/a>\u00a0and a pair of earrings made with the sand from our favorite place. Costa\u00a0Rica Surfing with a sprinkle of magic<\/h2>\n

For the past 12 years we have been surfing in southern Costa Rica, at an amazing beach in an amazing community where we now own property and plan to move. So when my fiance Valerie gave me my Dune Island Necklace<\/a> a few years ago, containing sand from our favorite beach\u00a0there \u2014 I was transported the moment I put it on \u2014 and it remains the most beautiful, \u00a0magical, and spiritual treasure I possess.<\/p>\n

The Beach Bucket List<\/h2>\n

My beach-related bucket-list item was a little harder. I wanted to go to Cabo San Lucas and drink tequila shots with Sammy Hagar on his birthday bash at his now famous Cabo Wabo Cantina. (Check.) Not only did we check this off my bucket list, but we got to enjoy snorkeling and swimming at Land\u2019s End, not once but two years in a row.<\/p>\n

I purchased a\u00a0triple sand globe bracelet<\/a>\u00a0from Dune Jewelry and chose Miami, Siesta Key and Land\u2019s End sand in honor of my three favorite beaches because whenever I look at it, or someone asks me about it, I am reminded of so many wonderful, happy memories.<\/p>\n
