Mother\u2019s Day is just around the corner and historically I get a bit nostalgic and sappy when I\u2019m writing our Mother\u2019s Day blog because Dune Jewelry is such a sentimental gift, especially for Mother’s Day.\u00a0 Not this year though!\u00a0 Here\u2019s my no-holds-barred message for you in 2019 \u00a0\u2013 CELEBRATE Mom!<\/p>\n
It\u2019s so easy to bypass or take for granted our Moms on a daily basis because they\u2019re amazingly stealthy warriors, kicking ass at life every day.\u00a0 They nurture and care for all of the people around them seemingly with ease and grace, and often never ask for help or thanks.\u00a0 But I\u2019m here to tell you guys, being a Mom is a LOT of work!<\/p>\n
My girls are smart, kind, funny, sweet little maniacs that never stop talking or needing something from me. I\u2019m telling you; I love being a Mom, but my day consists of getting up at 6am, walking or running on the treadmill for 20 minutes, waking up the girls, getting them dressed, making them breakfast, making them lunch to take to school, checking their homework, putting Alexa on the bus and driving Lyla to school.\u00a0 That\u2019s all before I start my work day which runs until about 6pm or later.<\/p>\n
After work, I drive home and immediately I\u2019m greeted by \u201cMommaaaaa!!!\u201d (which is the best part of my day).\u00a0 From that point on, one wants to play Barbies, the other wants a snack, then they want a dance party, then they want another snack (never the same thing), then they want to play with their guinea pigs but only if I will play too, then they have their showers, then they need their iPads, then they want a glass of water, then they want milk, then they need help in the bathroom\u2026and then it\u2019s time for bed (thank god!).<\/p>\n
