“I immediately fell in love with the concept of Dune Jewelry. I\u2019m an outdoor person. I love water. I am fueled by sunshine and fresh air. I kayak and scuba dive and live for lake days and beach trips. So, when I saw Dune on IG, I just fell in love. I immediately sent it to the guy I\u2019m seeing, not as a hint, but just because I was so so excited about it. And he immediately ordered me a piece. I had no idea what he\u2019d ordered, just that he\u2019d gotten something. That two weeks of waiting was brutal!! I was so excited!<\/p>\n

When I opened that beautifully packaged box, I was just in tears. I don\u2019t have words. This is one of the most meaningful gifts I\u2019ve ever received.<\/p>\n

Inside this turtle is sand from Fernandina Beach, Florida, where I spent every summer of my childhood visiting my aunt and cousin. One of the last times I went, I got to dive off a charter out of St. Mary\u2019s, GA, out in the ocean right outside Fernandina Beach. It has always been my favorite dive, over the Bahamas even, and the most special. A sea turtle actually swam right up to us, and I got to pet it. Right there, wild, in the ocean. So this turtle filled with Fernandina sand is about as perfect a gift as anyone could give me.<\/p>\n

I know everyone goes through life changes as we grow older. But I\u2019ve been struggling with homesickness a lot lately. And this is such a wonderful reminder of some of my best childhood memories. I truly treasure this necklace more than I can say.”<\/p>\n
