Our wedding was everything we dreamed of, and even with rain and a few other bumps, it was perfect.\u00a0<\/strong> We not only made our love official, but also got to celebrate our love with friends and family.\u00a0<\/span>While planning our big day, we realized how important our friends and family were in the process of starting our lives together.\u00a0 We wanted to celebrate our union, as well as the merging of our friends and family.\u00a0 We were blessed to have so many people celebrate with us in person, but there were a few that could only be with us in spirit.\u00a0<\/span>We wanted a tangible but beautiful way to represent our pasts and our community as we celebrated our future together.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em> Luckily, Dune Jewelry was able to help us accomplish this.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Growing up, my family had a timeshare in Florida. My grandparents, my family, and my aunts, uncles, and cousins would spend a week together. I have so many memories tied to the feel of the sand between my toes and the smell of the ocean. The sand and surf makes me feel connected and loved. \u00a0 Unfortunately, my grandparents and my brother passed away a few years before our wedding.\u00a0 When I\u2019m able to visit the beach, I can\u2019t help but smile at the millions of memories that flood back.\u00a0 The beach, sand, and salty air remind me of all of the important moments with my loved ones.\u00a0 I wanted to keep this feeling with me as I took this next big step in my life.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

My husband\u2019s extended family is from Brazil.\u00a0 Growing up, he visited them often, and loved to take family trips to the beach. His grandmother is in her 90\u2019s, and it was not possible for her to attend our celebration.\u00a0 While we were able to connect by video chat, it was important to him to carry this part of his history into our new life together.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

After talking with artists at Dune, we decided that I would wear a <\/span>Twisty Bypass Cuff<\/span><\/a> on our wedding day.\u00a0 On one side, they did a gradient of sand, half from Sarasota, Florida and half from Brazil, meeting and mixing in the center. This was a wonderful way to represent joining our histories and our families and friends together through our marriage. On the other side, we choose Lapis from the power stone collection.\u00a0 This color was chosen to match our wedding colors, and as an extra bonus, it is said to bring harmony to relationships.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After designing this beautiful bracelet, we realized that it would be a perfect bridesmaid gift<\/strong>! It is a beautiful piece that represents both the bride and groom without screaming \u201cWEDDING!\u201d. I also loved that the bracelet tied me not only to my past, but also to the fabulous team of ladies who have loved and supported me for many years.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
