Island Dan’s picks for the best Dune gifts

Greetings from Sanibel Island! First of all, everyone at Suncatchers Dream sends all the “Dunies” out there a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays filled with peace and joy! As usual, we are so grateful for our Dune Jewelry family and this wonderful line that has blessed us so much this past year. We look forward to an amazing 2022!!

Ho Ho Ho and a bottle of rum!! Here are Dan’s picks for the best Dune gifts that should be in your stockings or under your tree!

Mom: First and most importantly…the matriarch of the family! I would suggest the Wave Bar necklace with seashells on top and lapis on the bottom. And then add a Hamptons Ring and the Marquise Earrings with shell! It’s all about mix and match and not matchy-matchy for mom this holiday.
The Girls: I highly recommend getting them something they actually want to wear! The Touch the World Bracelets and the fabulously simple Sunburst Studs and Rings with turquoise. Remember turquoise is a December stone even though we associate it with summer. And it’s always cool!!!
Grandparents: The “go to” this year is TRADITION! Dune ornaments should be tied onto their package or be their featured gift. Snowflakes in sand for up north and Waves or Hearts in Turquoise Gradient for down south. For a crafty add on…fold some paper and cut your own snowflake ornament, write the kids’ names on it and include it with the gift!
The Guys: Boys can be fussy about jewelry, so keep it masculine with the Dune Beaded Bracelets in Lava Stone or Blue Tiger Eye. Bracelets are trendy right now and are a safe bet for guys of all ages this year, including Dad. They look cool with denim or flannel!
Holiday trends for this November and December in the “Dune-iverse” will be hoops, hoops, hoops! A throwback to the retro, yet traditional, they are great with turtlenecks and comfy in candlelight. Two-Sided Crescent Moons and Shoreline Double-Sided Hoops are winner, winner turkey dinner!!

Sanibel Dan style tip for the season…Personalize your dune gifts this year to show how grateful you are for your friends and family. Dig out the old beach and vacation pictures and print them up! Use them in your wrapping or in the box with a personal note or poem. And throw a little shell or keepsake from the beach in the box too! Tie the Dune ornaments on a wine bottle for a great house-warming gift. Dune is an experience that is about memories and the moment.
