The Ohio Valley General Hospital dates back to 1890 when the “Hospital Ten” , a group of 10 women from a local church, raised the money necessary to build Wheeling’s City Hospital which would later become OVGH. We obtained some hospital bricks from (and donated to) the OVGH/OVMC Preservation Group and asked the wonderful people at Dune to create a sterling silver pendant that contains crushed brick from the hospital. The response has been overwhelmingly positive from the generations of caregivers, administrators, and patients who want to remember a place that was such a big part of their lives.”
