In 2017, two single twenty-somethings took the plunge into something unknown – online dating. Little did they know it would lead to a beautiful journey. 

As my now-husband and I met over dinner, we discovered a shared passion for Boston sports, comedy shows, and animals. Then we discovered something else. During our Fourth of July spent at Nantasket Beach, on R St and T St, we had likely crossed paths before.

Our shared interests continued to grow, and eventually, we took our first vacation together to Grace Bay Beach. During that vacation, I stumbled upon Dune Jewelry in a gift shop. Eager to commemorate this special trip, I purchased a ring through their website. The Wave Bypass Ring, one of many custom jewelry options they had, incorporated sand from Nantasket Beach and Grace Bay Beach, two of my favorite spots.

Almost half a decade later, while on a visit to Las Vegas, and after possessing the engagement ring for close to a year, he asked for my hand in marriage.

Amid wedding planning, I thought it important to find a lasting memento to commemorate the occasion. An ornament felt like the perfect solution and I knew just the one. When I found Dune Jewelry’s engravable Heart Ornament… #addtocart!

After the first try with flowers from my bouquet didn’t pan out, Jessica and the team at Dune promptly offered me another idea: utilizing the lace from my gown! This felt like the perfect choice. 

With Dune’s team, I made a special keepsake using my wedding color and lace from my dress. It’s a unique piece that my husband and I will treasure for years to come.
