Darling, it wouldn’t be a party without you – ARM PARTY, that is. Times are still a bit crazy with the ongoing pandemic and it’s important to take care of one’s mental health. For those of you with a creative personality, it’s essential to have an outlet to keep you inspired.  For some, it’s photography, painting, or drawing, and for others, it’s home decorating and DIY projects – for me, it’s styling my Dune Jewelry in a variety of ways. I love layering my necklaces (up to 5 at a time) and stacking my rings and bracelets so that they tell a great story – but I have to say, bracelets are my specialty. I remember being young and loving the style of my Mom’s friends who were part farmer, part rocker in the most avant-garde way.

They always had beautiful tanned skin and tons of bracelets stacked on both arms, almost to their elbows. I would think to myself, “I bet those bracelets could tell such stories.”  The whole world could see their bohemian souls stacked right on their wrists.

There are so many different ways to ‘stack’ bracelets.  There are some people who prefer symmetry in their bracelet stacking, and others (like me) who love curious chaos.  What is curious chaos you ask?  It’s when you stack multiple bracelets on your wrists in a way that makes no sense at all, but feels great and ends up looking amazing. No rhyme or reason, just style intuition.  I love when a stack is so intriguing that someone asks me where I got my bracelets or what they mean?

Here are a few easy bracelet stacking tips for an arm party they’ll be talking about for years:

  1. Start with an everyday bracelet. You need a host for this party!
  2. Bangles, bracelets, and cuffs – oh my! Wear them all with inspired vision and a poet’s voice. Each piece you own has a story whether it’s Dune Jewelry, an heirloom from your Grandmother, or Tiffany & Co. Make sure you style them together and let them express your story.
  3. It’s essential to mix weights and bracelet widths for dimension as well as for settling sizes. Don’t be scared.
  4. You’ll want at least 2 bracelets on both wrists, but no more than 7 – anything over 7 typically becomes uncomfortable and overwhelming. You still want to be functional.
  5. Be fearless – don’t be afraid to mix metals. Gold, silver, and rose gold all have a seat at this party.  Even an oxidized silver or black plated bracelet would be incredibly chic.
  6. Make sure to stack a few more bracelets on one wrist. This is not the time for symmetry – I promise.
  7. Twist your cuffs. They can be worn backwards and sometimes that looks even cooler. Life is a series of mistakes until you get it just right.
  8. Have fun. Fashion has been serious for a very long time and I say, “beach please!” – get over yourself and stack like nobody is watching.

I let the compass bracelet be my guide in this stack, pairing neutral sand, and complementary shades of maroon and turquoise.

I hope these little tips have you stacking like Stevie Nicks in no time. Get your creativity moving my loves. It will give you life.

Also, I would love for you to text or email me personally with pics so I can share them with our community.
