A few years ago, I met my friend Dan Katcher through a CEO networking group called Vistage.  Throughout the work we did in the group we got to know each other quite well and over a glass of wine one night he told me about this creative new product he was developing called Winebars.

“Wine racks simply are NOT attractive so I’ve decided to create bookends for wine,” he said…and I got SUPER curious!  We talked for weeks about the concept and I became more than curious, I became a huge fan which is why after much thought I decided to partner with him on this endeavor.

Fast forward to today and Winebars has become a reality. Dan has designed and created a very cool new product that stacks, stores and displays wine bottles in a unique way anywhere – in a cabinet, on a counter or home bar, on your desk in a hotel room and even in the fridge!  Winebars elevates the concept of wine storage from a static rack to an elegant portable display that makes your wine part of the décor.  I also love that the bars are portable.  They’ll fit easily in your purse or tote bag for picnics or camping trips.

“Don’t rack, stack!” – Dan

Made from solid aluminum and milled to perfection, the sleek design hugs the sides of a wine bottle. Winebars are six inches in length, and come packaged in a set of two, either in a natural silver finish or jet black. Each bar weighs about a half a pound and features a thin rubber pad on the bottom, which keeps bottles secure. Winebars work well on most surfaces including wood block, marble,  granite, as well as synthetic materials like Corian, and quartz.

Perfect for gift giving for any occasion, Winebars come optionally encased in a beautiful taupe felt bag. With a nod towards sustainability, the aluminum and the rubber pad are 100% recyclable, and the packaging is 100% free of plastic, utilizing lightweight recyclable cardboard.

Today, I’m excited to announce to my Dune family that we just launched our KICKSTARTER campaign to introduce Winebars to the world and to fund the next phase of our project.  I’m asking for your support.  Even if you don’t donate to our Kickstarter campaign, a simple “share” would be amazing and just as meaningful.  Basically, we really need more people to know about this fun startup!
