The shell phone rang and it was our favorite Sanibel Island retailer! Mother’s Day is around the corner and SandDan is sending love to the women that are the rocks in our lives. When you want something special, it has to be personal. Flowers are great and wine is fine…but DUNE is forever.

Dan’s picks for Mother’s Day 2022 are all about simple and everyday wear. You want to give them pieces they will actually wear and show you they love when you see them wearing them next month or a year from now. It is a no-brainer to stick to a necklace, bracelet, or earring. These come in sizes that will fit everyone!

Dan’s two picks for necklaces are classics…

The Sandglobe Necklace: This is one of the simplest designs and is a Dune original. It can be worn by itself or layered with pieces she already has. And it can be made two-sided, so you can pick a special sand for one side and a stone or shell for the other. If you aren’t sure about stones or shells, I highly suggest Mother of Pearl for Mother’s Day. This goes with everything and is stunning! Hint: The matching Long Sandglobe Earrings make a great set.
Endless Summer Vertical Bar Necklace: Layer in multiple stones or shells to represent children or grandchildren set beside her favorite beaches to create a multi-bezel dazzler!

Dan’s bracelet picks for Mother’s Day are simple and layer-able…

Oval Beaded Cuff Bracelet: This is stainless steel, fits every wrist, and is so comfortable. She’ll never take it off!
Endless Summer Cuff: This is one of Dan’s favorites. It is a lightweight sterling cuff with five choices of elements for that extra sentiment. There is nothing like it!

Dan’s earring picks for Spring 2022 are still simple but not so simple they aren’t special…

Victoria Hoop Earring by Camille Kostek: She will love these dainty hoops- they are the perfect size. I suggest her favorite beach sand and mother of pearl…or another special stone or flower since there are two bezels in these beauties!
Crescent Moon Double-Sided Hoop Earring: These are slightly bolder, showing thicker silver edges to set off her favorite beach sand. Still everyday hoops, but with a little more of a statement. She will reach for these all the time.

Final Advice: Go that extra step to make it special! And while you are shopping for mom and grandma, it is not unheard of to get a piece of Dune for yourself…because you deserve it. 🙂
