Four years ago I met the love of my life at a meat market in Kittery, Maine. Like the start of all love stories, I was not looking, not particularly interested in dating at that time, and speechless the moment I saw him–which made saying my sandwich awkward, to say the least. Fast forward to 9.23.23, we got married and this time the Dune Jewelry pieces were what made me speechless!

Let me roll this back a bit. Alexander proposed last December with a ring created by our family jeweler using the diamond from my grandmother’s engagement ring. This ring is a stand-alone piece and I assumed it would be the only one I’d wear until I laid eyes on a golden band that sparkled like the stars. But I digress…

Flash forward to a family vacation to Cape Cod this past August. I already had my Dune Jewelry pearls picked out and ready to go for the upcoming wedding but as a boutique shopper from a young age (fun fact: my family used to own a spot called The Sail Loft in Chatham, so shopping local runs deep in my veins), I just had to check out Dune Jewelry in Harwich Port!

Boy oh boy did the in-store Dune Jewelry experience blow me away. From all the sand treasured by folks across the world to the backstory of how Dune Jewelry came to be, to every single gorgeous piece in store. If you haven’t been in person yet, believe me when I say it’s worth the trip. While there, I planned to pick up a matching pair of gold pearls for my second hole, but the moment my eyes locked on the cosmos ring it was love at first sight–just like that time with Alexander.

On 9.23.23, Alexander and I became the McMorran’s on a little island that only pops out at low tide, off Little Harbour Road in Portsmouth, NH. We said our vows in front of our closest friends and family. I wore Dune Jewelry pearls that day and continue to wear the cosmos ring as my wedding band. Just as I cherish my trip to Harwichport, I will continue to hold my Dune Jewelry in that part of my heart where I hold the fondest memories. Dune Jewelry just makes life sparkle!
