Let’s talk about Luxe
Our founder Holly Daniels Christensen developed and patented Dune’s Luxe finishing process, originally for our Dune Bar and the Island Collections. These designs were the first in our catalogue and are fan favorites to this day.

Our Luxe Process
First we mix your sand or earth element, then artistically handcraft your memory into your selected design. We allow your design to set. After setting, your piece is hand polished and ground down on a lapidary wheel. The chunkier and more textural the sand or element, the better the effect.
Our Luxe process literally cuts through the element, revealing a mosaic of natural colors. Our favorite sands in these pieces are the dark rocky sand from Greece and Italy, or the light & bright shelly Caribbean sands. Want a pop of color? Any of our Power Stones create magic when used in our Luxe pieces.
