Coastal Cabochon
Shaped and polished into a dimensional form, then set by hand. Our newest handcrafting technique transforms your chosen sand or earth into a softly domed form using a custom silicone mold and our two-part epoxy process. After a full two-day cure, each cabochon is polished and secured by hand with four sterling silver prongs, with no glue involved, just careful craftsmanship that lets the natural character of your element shine through.
Luxe Matte Finish
Hand-polished to reveal natural texture, color and character.
Developed and patented by founder Holly Daniels Christensen, our Luxe process creates a distinctive matte finish by hand-filling, setting, sanding, and polishing each design on a lapidary wheel. As the surface is carefully ground and polished, the process cuts through your chosen element to reveal an unexpected mosaic of natural colors, textures, and fragments.
Larger, more textural elements create especially beautiful results.
Dune's Signature Finish: Gloss
Artistically arranged beneath a luminous, gem-like finish. The signature finish of Dune, our Gloss process builds layers of sand and resin, allowing our Sand Artists to carefully select and arrange individual colors and textures by hand. The result is a luminous, polished finish with the depth and appearance of a gemstone, bringing out the artistry within each chosen element.
