How Dune Jewelry is Redefining Sustainable Luxury | Press
In a recent episode of “Can Business Save the Planet?”, a sustainability podcast by 4ocean which explores “how businesses can lead the charge in sustainability and tackle pressing environmental challenges,” the 4ocean team interviewed our Founder & Designer Holly Daniels Christensen. Holly shared her journey in creating a brand that blends sustainability, craftsmanship, and storytelling—all while making a tangible impact on ocean conservation.
“I’m a huge advocate for sustainability and keeping Mother Nature healthy,” Holly explained, highlighting Dune’s mission-driven approach.

Known for our handcrafted designs featuring sand and earth elements from meaningful locations, our brand has evolved beyond its sentimental core to become a leader in eco-conscious jewelry. Through an innovative partnership with 4ocean, we have helped recover tens of thousands of pounds of plastic waste from the ocean.
“Our collaboration with 4ocean has been amazing,” said Holly. “We’ve recovered approximately 40,000 pounds together.”

But our commitment doesn’t stop there. Dune Jewelry champions sustainable manufacturing, a lifetime warranty program, and an anti-fast fashion philosophy—ensuring that every piece is built to last. Over the past decade, we have contributed over $250,000 to various charitable organizations, reinforcing our dedication to giving back.
“Starting small and taking one step at a time is the way to go,” Christensen advised. “Implement small meaningful actions within your organization.”
