Meet Shaina, Our Blogger from South Florida

Dune Jewelry is all about making personal connections, right? Well, we’re about to get even more personal! COVID Quarantine is making some of us a little crazy, but sometimes that craziness leads to really fun, new ideas. I’ve had this plan to change up our blog for a while, but you know how it goes. Life just got in the way. Being a mom, a wife, a business owner… I’ve got a lot going on! But no more excuses. Now’s the time! Dune Jewelry is more than just a company that sells jewelry. It’s a company that brings joy and happiness. It’s a company that is about people, their relationships, their experiences… Pretty much their life in general. With that being said, I’m going to make our blog more about connecting with all of you, the people who make Dune Jewelry possible!

Introducing Shaina of Take A Bite Out of Boca

I reached out to my friend and amazing food and lifestyle blogger, Shaina Wizov of Take A Bite Out of Boca (check out her blog and follow her Instagram @takeabiteoutofboca!) to help me make this vision a reality. Shaina lives in South Florida, but does some traveling here and there to cover different cities and events on her blog and social media. She came up to Nantucket last year for the Wine & Food Festival and that’s where we met!

Side note…I’m so sad we won’t be heading back to Nantucket for the festival this month, but hopefully next year! I sent Shaina our Compass Stud Earrings, Bracelet, and Necklace, all using sand from Margate, NJ, the beach where she grew up. She absolutely loved the set, and posted a few great Instagram Stories and posts for us! After that, Shaina did some freelance work for my Winebars business partner, Dan, so I got to know her, and her writing, even better.

Long story short, she was the first person who popped into my head when I wanted to kick off this new direction for the blog. So, Shaina and I will be switching off writing blog posts to keep you all entertained while you’re social distancing at home. We’re going to bring you some great recipe ideas, quarantine tips, favorites lists, and more. Get excited! I know we are!
