National Rescue Dog Day | Dune Jewelry Gives Back to the PAWS Project
At Dune Jewelry, our love for our oceans and the natural world is only rivaled by our love for dogs—especially the ones who rescue us right back. This National Rescue Dog Day, we’re taking a moment to celebrate the loyal companions who walk beside us through life’s most beautiful (and sometimes messy) moments.
For our founder Holly Daniels Christensen, rescue runs deep. Her dog Earle (named after Marine Biologist Sylvia Earle) was adopted through GDRNE, thanks to the incredible work of the P.A.W.S. Project—a grassroots organization committed to finding forever homes for pups in need.

Earle’s big heart and adventurous spirit inspired one of our most heartfelt designs: the Paw Print Pet Collar Charm, crafted in sterling silver and customizable with sand, earth elements, or even fabric from your dog’s collar. It’s a tribute to the adventures you’ve shared—and the unconditional love you carry every day.

Giving Back, One Paw at a Time
All of the designs from the Paw Print Collection, including the Bangle and Necklace, donate 10% to P.A.W.S. Project.
Founded in 2016 by 12-year-old Molly, P.A.W.S. Project is dedicated to helping dogs in need find their Forever Homes.
For us, jewelry isn’t just personal—it’s purposeful.
This National Rescue Dog Day, we honor the dogs who’ve rescued us in more ways than one. Whether you’ve welcomed home a senior pup or fallen for a scruffy face at your local shelter, your rescue story is part of your journey—and it deserves to be celebrated.
Unique dog-inspired elements such as pet collar fabric, gravel from their favorite trail, or even pet fur can be added to any of our customizable designs! We’ve even had the honor of crafting designs with pet ashes or cremains, creating a truly sentimental keepsake to remind you of your fur-ever friend.

“When our dog Mack passed, we wanted to be able to carry him with us wherever our journey led us. Because of this, we made the decision to cremate him. As soon as I discovered Dune Jewelry’s cremation jewelry, I knew it was the place to go to get our special pieces. I chose the Boho Stack Ring in 14k Gold for myself, the Luxe Men’s Band Ring for my fiancé, and the most beautiful Angel Wing Ornament for my grandmother. We had them combine Mack’s ashes with earth from Point Au Roche State Park in Plattsburgh, NY. Mack loved this park.”

Whether you wear our Dog Bone Necklace filled with beach sand from your daily walks, or create a keepsake infused with ashes to honor a beloved pet who’s crossed the rainbow bridge, our pet-inspired designs are handcrafted to preserve your bond, forever.

Here’s to the dogs who make life better—and to the people who give them a second chance.
Happy National Rescue Dog Day from all of us at Dune Jewelry. Hug your pup a little tighter today.
