Have you discovered Dune Jewelry’s Power Stone Collection yet? I’ve enjoyed creating jewelry with sand for many years. It’s a brilliant palette of color and texture that any artist would love to work with, but recently I wondered if we could incorporate some extra color into our collection. After quite a lot of research, I came up with our first 12 powerful stones with an opaque consistency that would work perfectly with our current jewelry making process.

1. Lapis
Lapis is a deep blue stone that evokes thoughts of ocean depths and crashing waves. It is said to be a stone of truth and power. Prized for its beauty and attributes since the time of ancient Egypt, powdered Lapis was said to be used by Cleopatra as eyeshadow, and pieces of Lapis were used to decorate the funeral mask of Pharaoh Tutankhamun. 2. Tiger Eye

Peridot is a light green stone that reminds us of fresh spring days and the beauty of nature. 4. Pyrite
Pyrite (one of my absolute faves) is a black and gray stone that has metallic flashes of gold. One of the most sparkly of the Power Stones, Pyrite is a stone of confidence and vitality. Pyrite is also known as Fools Gold. Traditionally, Pyrite was used to make Marcasite Jewelry which was very popular in the Victorian era.
